of kids and adults in your congregation who

have suffered and even killed themselves

based on your condemnations, your malicious

counsel, your dismissals, and your hardened hearts.

So clean your own house before you worry

about what's in ours.

And get a tougher skin; if you can't take it,

you sure as hell shouldn't be dishing it out.

Slip of the Eye (Not really!)

When I first glanced at this meme, I immediately

read it as "Religion", not "Racism."

Although truly, the two are so intermingled, that seems apt.

And the content makes as

much sense with either word, so...

"If you Reallllly Loved Me...."

One of the worst components of Western religion is
the whole 'kit-and-kaboodle' approach.

We already know free thought and the ability to question
ideas and the like are verboten, but the con they sell also
has one major selling point; it's all or nothing, baby.

If left to their own devices, most people would choose to
think about only three things in their deity;
1. A benevolent sky-daddy who loves them,
2. An attentive/interactive god who responds when spoken to,
   and...
3. A promise of an afterlife reunion with missed loved ones;
    a happy ending.

But if those three demands were met outright in the
shell game of spiritual selling points, then no one would choose
the Filthy Horribles like endless guilt and worry, fear of a mean
and vengeful deity, self-recrimination, unhealthy restrictions,
and so on.

If the insightful used car salesmen didn't hook you with
beautiful lies, there's be no filled seats for the evocative talks
of Hellfire and brimstone. If "Jesus loves me" were not a readily
touted phrase, no one would be open to the indoctrination of
what must be done to keep Jesus -construct loving them.

"If you want to see Granddaddy in Heaven, then you better stop
(fill-in-the-blank with whatever authoritarian figure is abusing the
young child in question with to meet their own personal needs or
sickness.)"

It all gets lumped in, all or nothing, the big package; the bitter
pill wrapped in some peanut butter for a quick ingestion.
The side effects to be discovered later? Moot, once imbibed.

They don't want you to pick and choose, because the promoters
and architects know you won't choose the hard rules they devised. 
Hell, they invented the carrot to help brighten the lack-of-appeal of
their crafted stick.

It's a whole lot of 'Creamy Icing' lovingly set atop a steaming pile
of 'Shit Surprise.'

So, if you want to be one of Jesus' eternal minions, you better get
in line and boycott that JC Penny dyke rep....or "The Lord" will
be most displeased.

More Alike Than They Will Ever See



NOOOOOOOO!!!!



Just like humanity's endless grab for land and power,

the religious-minded seek to exert control over

others' minds, to the end that their concepts reign

supreme. It isn't benevolence, though many certainly

are convinced of their own sanctimonious 'good-

naturedness' and 'connection to ultimate truth and

ultimate knowledge!'

What bigger ego-trip than to belief yourself

smart enough (and blessed enough, and 'good'

enough, etc.) to be tapped in to the universal Answer!

Imagining that if people will simply follow your words

and your path, they can be just as enlightened and

safe and worthy and superior as you are!

(Barf!)

It's not the differences in religions that are the focal point,

because ultimately they are all the same;

"I need someone to tell me what to do.

I need someone to tell me what to think.

I need to feel safe and loved in life.

I need to believe my actions mean something.

I need to find strength and purpose.

I need to feel connected to something larger.

I need a sense of community with like-minded people."

Now, in and of itself, none of those statements is

dangerous or particularly unhealthy. Life is

hard and complicated and scary at times.

But the problem is in their inherently insufferable

self-righteousness, convinced not only

that they know best and need to spread their

gospel to others, but that others are thereby

incorrect...and must be stopped!

Behind every smile and every act of 'charity' is an effort to

indoctrinate and turn your mind. Because these people--

every last member of every last type of church in every

last religion on the planet--cannot abide anyone who is different.

They won't stop until they condemn and control

all that is variance from their ultimate vision.

Because the bottom line of all their beliefs is;

"You're doing it wrong! Here, let me show you what's 'Right!"

Be afraid.

Suffer the Children, Part One

The religious target children with mind control and terrorist practices;
Coercion, threats, fear tactics, physical disciplining and abuse.
Inciting god's wrath to intimidate.

But not at first.

They gloss over the extremism and ugliness of their doctrine and dogma
with seductive measures, designed to lure impressionable, vulnerable
kids in. Insidiously engaging them with treats, games, songs, and lots
of hugs (from members of questionable sanity and intent,) the 'well-meaning'
adults (uh-oh! Even the sinners know where that path leads!) entice the kids
with the pretense of fun and love and belonging.

Then, WHAM! Right between the eyes.

Hmmmn. Surreptitiousness, deceit, lies, duplicity; all the things that
go into making a world class religion.

Out of nowhere, a child's limited world is rocked with:

"Only people who love Jesus get to Heaven...and..."
A) "You don't want to miss out on all the fun in Heaven like we're having here, do you?"
B) "You don't want to be kept away from Mommy/Daddy/Granny/Sissy, etc. if you don't
  do what Jesus wants, do you?"
(This wouldn't have worked on me! If I'd believed in heaven and thought my parents had
  a chance of showing up there, I'd have been damned determined to be elsewhere!)
C) "You don't want to upset Pastor Cock Snatch, do you?"
D) "You don't want to hurt Baby Jesus, after he died and was beaten for you, do you?"
E) "You don't want to burn in the pits of hell forever do you?"

I know what you're thinking--Subtle, right?

Many probably think this is an extremist's take on what goes on. In fact, it's
mild compared to the level and veracity of indoctrination that many children
suffer every day, constantly, in churches around the world, until they are
completely stomped into fearful submission.

And for the child that is the offspring of extremists, for whom every second of
every day is an extremist event whilst preparing for the end of the world, this
tragedy is only furthered. Fanaticism is on the rise. Home-schooling is on the rise.
And every time a child misses the opportunity to socialize in a normal environment
with normal children, their indoctrination deepens (which is precisely why home-
schooling exists to begin with.)(to be continued...)

And that's the point. Children are the easiest converts because they are
so gullible, so vulnerable, so needy, and so emotionally compromised. They
are impressionable and open to anything, as yet fully-developed in their ideas.
They don't yet have a protective system in place, a bullshit filter, an ability to
combat abuse from a group of people that each outweigh them by 3 x and have
absolute control over their lives.

Why the Catholic-Haters?

I stand bewildered at times over the specific hate directed at
practitioners of the Catholic religion, mostly a result of the
whelming evidence finally released in regards to the priest
molestations (rapes) of girls and boys.

(And, as we all know, scandals are always so much more
far reaching than the tip of the iceberg admitted to when
perpetrators are caught.)

The reason for confusion on my behalf is not that the Catholics
don't deserve complete contempt, removal from power, fines,
jail time, and preferably worse; it's that they are far from alone in
their abuses of trust!

Every church in existence is evil in their abuses of young children's
(and vulnerable adults') bodies and minds. The Catholics have
just gotten more press.

All the sick and demented of the world, suppressing their dark
urges in order to win the disdainful fatherly approval of fictional
Yahweh (or whomever) have to have an outlet for their longings,
and children always seem to be the go-to victims. What abusers
can't handle with physical threats and intimidation by size and
authority, they can make up for by twisting the words of the
beloved Bible to stain the children's minds and emotions for a
lifetime.

People working so hard to be considered 'worthy' by an unrealistic
ideal will never be anything but fractured, marginalized, schizo-
phrenic basket cases; is it really any wonder that there are the
number of incidences there are?

Every church views itself and its membership as sacrosanct, and
will do whatevert it takes to protect the name and reputation of
the church and its more 'important' members. So those who are
charismatic or older or revered who do wrong will be forgiven
and even in many cases allowed to continue the abuse, while blind
eyes are turned.

Victims who do speak out are called liars, shunned by church
members, suffer further abuses, are ostracized and bullied
endlessly. They are penalized for being truthful and their spirits
crushed by the other church members; illusion and distortion wins
out over reality every time.

Black churches, white churches, mixed churches...rich churches,
poor churches, middle class churches....city churches, country
churches, progressive and moderate and conservative; belief in
cultish magic thinking is dangerous however you come at it.
It's all the same under the surface.

No, the Baptists and the Methodists and (especially) the smaller,
Pentecostal churches have their fair share of pain and suffering 
that they inflict on the weaker of their flock. Hell, the kids don't
even have a say-so in being there in the first place.

A Child and Their Ideas, None-too-Soon Parted

I had a child (teenager) who wanted to shriek and rail

against me recently because I believe as I do.

(Again, merely existing is considered 'attack'

against the ridiculous mythology of religion.)

When I didn't change my story or apologize

because she was upset, she screeched at me

"Well, everyone has their opinions."

That's somewhat true. But children don't.

An opinion--or at least, the only kind that matter

or count...informed ones-- are gained in one way.

Research, introspection, investigation, comparison,

survey, education, experience, and then, after

thoughtful consideration, an opinion.

Children just regurgitate what's been taught them

by those they wish to impress.

They know no better. They likely don't even know

there's an alternative to what they were taught.

They certainly don't know that they have a choice in the matter.
